According to a Mehr reporter, Ayatollah Rasoul Falahati met with international students at the University of Guilan on Sunday morning, congratulating them on the arrival of Student Day and stating: Admitting foreign students is one of the initiatives of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Referring to the importance of historical events in each country regarding the naming of Student Day in Iran, he added: Azar 6 is a day to honor the status of students and to commemorate the protest of Tehran University students and the martyrdom of three of them in 1953, seventy-one years ago, in protest against the presence of Richard Nixon, the then Vice President of the United States of America, in Iran.

The Imam of Rasht Friday Prayer pointed out the importance of language learning, acquiring knowledge, awareness, and anti-corruption among students, and said: Learning knowledge is one of the fundamental matters that Islam has paid attention to, and religious leaders have called on their followers to acquire knowledge and practice it.

He clarified: In addition to recommending its followers to seek knowledge, Islam also recommends non-Muslims to seek wisdom and knowledge because it knows that a person who attains wisdom comes closer to the truth and realizes the legitimacy of facts.
